Due to little interest or summertime fun, this event is now cancelled. I will offer it again in the Fall.
What We Fear…Past,Present,Future
Offered by Denise Yocco
This keeps changing…I am aware. It is said that you cannot step into the same river twice, and I feel what I was thinking at the onset of this offering has moved and shifted my awareness towards the more that it encompasses, in this moment. Everything seems to be changing around us so fast, and it is true we are all dropping into some degree of fear, which feels warranted to a certain degree. But only a certain degree, with a limited shelf life. We cannot give these times our fear, especially when they require our strength.
I observe that there is so much fear, not only in women, but in everyone, in some way, and now, more so, with the decisions made by the highest court in the land. Women are living with a target on their back. Even our Earth Mother has been targeted. These can be very fearful times, if we begin to lose ourselves amidst the many causes of irrational and unconscious outcomes and neglect the roots. Our roots especially. Have we missed nurturing our roots? We will talk about nurturing our roots.
Giving to ourselves what we need at this time, at any time is a big piece of what is missing. Two things; Self-love and Truth. Fear is the polar opposite of love and lies the polar opposite of truth. We need to know where we stand with both. We will talk about self-love and truth.
All of our reasons for living with fear may be different, but the outcome is the same. We stand frozen, paralyzed in some way, and most often it is the most significant way…to stand in full view of the world, of society, of all that hopes to bind us, as we are here to be. Which is free, we are here to be free. Only in that freedom can we come to know the beauty of all that exist in each of us and the Existence we dwell in. In that freedom there is love and truth, enough for everyone.
Each of us have our own story of the fear we hold, the fear that hinders us. It is fear that has led me through to this place in my life. I just got tired of being afraid. And I will not turn back. What is your story? Are you also, so tired of living in fear? Sometimes just saying it out loud is helpful. Just hearing your own voice say what you fear, can significantly shift its impact. Hearing others can be a comfort, realizing that you are not alone, we are not alone.
Sometimes we think we have many fears, but usually the root of fear creates what appears as many. There is usually one dominate fear, masquerading as many. I have made peace with the many and the one. They don’t dominate me anymore. They try to show up now and again…especially now, but then I just have to remember that I am now free. I suppose so long as I have breath, I will have to work alongside my fears, greet them kindly as they show up, respect them for what they are trying to do, and congratulate them on their persistence, and stare and talk them down. I offer here my experience with fear and how I know it does not need to overtake us. We have the intelligence to not be forever in the grip of fear.
In this circle we will honor and support each other. Listen to each other. We will hold space for each other and respect the sacred aspect of this circle’s privacy. A circle is ceremony and sacred communion. It is more than talking, and or listening. It is meeting and joining heart, soul and mind, for the desired goal of some form of release to pursue our life better tooled to accomplish our hearts desire to be free. To love more deeply, more honestly, and more presently. I do hope, if fear is something you struggle with, that you will show up for Your-Self. In showing up for ourselves, we show up for the many. The nurturing we give to ourselves, nurtures the roots of all.
