Calling all conscious weary souls. Have the waves of life begun to feel more like a tidal wave? Life: harsh, beautiful, awe, pain, sorrow, joy. Riding the tide of all we are feeling has become a challenge we can meet with taking the time for self care. You are not alone. If you are feeling all the feels, bring yourself to this restorative yoga class. Slow, mindful movement will bring us back into body and mind. Expect long holds, twists, and breath work. If you are feeling energetic, then please come and share those vibes! We are all in this life thing together. We have all we need within to make it to shore. May peace be with you.
This class is open to all in the community and is donation based to cover use of the facility.
About Jenny Davis
After dedicating years to her education to become a nurse practitioner, Jenny completed her yoga teacher training in 2016 through Yoga Medicine under the tutelage of internationally renowned yoga teacher, Tiffany Cruikshank. It is with this insatiable thirst for knowledge and questionable affinity for punishment that lead her to a deeper level of exploration of her own yoga practice. Jenny realized the benefits of yoga- strength, flexibility, and ease of mind- and lead her to her initial intention in bringing yoga to her patients. She wasn’t able to contain her excitement and knew she wanted to be part of bringing those benefits beyond the walls of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she works and out into her own community. Jenny’s background in medicine coupled with her passion for holistic well-being provide for classes that bring connection of body mind through thoughtful movement and breath with special attention to anatomy and alignment. She embraces the different paths we are all on and guides her students through physical asana, pranayama, and meditation for your own self exploration. The yoga mat is a sacred space to work it out and let it go with the goal to leave class lighter, if not a little sore, so that we can all be the best versions of ourselves off the mat.
