He Is A Person
Good afternoon,
I’m Cheryl Borrelli, and I’m a self-published author, as well as a mother and caretaker for my son, Nicky, who is 25 years old and has autism.
I’m Cheryl Borrelli, and I’m a self-published author, as well as a mother and caretaker for my son, Nicky, who is 25 years old and has autism.
I have written four books about my life and journey with my son. My most recent, was published just in time for autism awareness month.
I would like to share our story and most recent life lessons at this event. I will share excerpts from our book, He Is A Person, and it’s purpose and message. Please treat people with special needs as you would anyone else, or as you would want to be treated. I’ll be sharing our most recent journey after Nicky’s graduation from school, and the decision to care for my son at home without the interference of a facility, as well how he has made progress physically, cognitively, and emotionally.
I will have books available for purchase and will be answering any questions relative for discussion.
Many people have loved ones with special needs in their life that they too are caring for. Making this event available allows those in similar circumstances to share their stories and concerns, their struggles and their victories. Also, it helps to know that you are not alone, as well as offering new resources if needed.
