Dear Friends and Community,
I wish to offer everyone here the joy of whatever it is you might celebrate this season. I was listening to the Beatles channel this week and they were talking about John and Yoko making the declaration, “War Is Over, in 1969. The words, War Is Over”, had a profound affect on me. I felt their power not in terms of any actual war, but as a personal realization for any of us to have…or a stance to take, that from now on as far as anyone can be concerned, we are not at war anymore with anyone or anything…sort of like Chief Joseph, “I will fight no more forever”. Can we do that?
I am hoping that more and more that comes to be a realization for us. If we keep thinking it is impossible it will be. If we can imagine it as a possibility, it becomes more and more probable. Peace is within us all. Love is actually what we are. I know it can be a reality, and I know I am not alone in that.
I found out that “War Is Over”, was actually one of my favorite Christmas songs, Happy Christmas. So with love, joy and peace as a wish for all of us to carry into our celebrations, and daily life, into the new year and forever, I will offer, down the page after the weeks schedule and events, the lyrics and link to listen and sing along.
