Dear Friends and Community,
I am just like you in trying to get through the events of these days in our world and country. I have never been one for acrobatics, but I do feel in some way we are learning to navigate walking a tightrope. What is catching you every time you miss the mark of where you wish you were?
I thought our hearts might be a good subject. Not just the one that hurts and gets broken. Not the one that holds so many wounds and our resistance to forgive. Not the one subject to decline, or the one that one day stops. I want to talk about them both, but mostly, I want to talk about the forever heart within us, that leads us to the unframed view of ourselves and Loves Existence.
Perfection is when we can bring all the duality within us to the point of unity. It takes a long time once we realize that that is the work. It is a journey within a journey. And it takes a long time even to enter on the path that leads us there. And we get there when we get there, in our own time, in some lifetime. One way to know we are really ready is if you feel ready to love yourself. That is a whole other conversation. Yet, we know when we are ready to be honest. And honesty is the hallmark of self-love.

A note of thanks for all that attended the the Peace Day celebration. Thank you Mariah for the powerful meditation. It was a wonderful event that allowed us in attendance to feel safe to talk about these times and how we can navigate all the emotional ups and downs we are experiencing.

The Two Hearts We Have…
The heart that beats in our chest can be a real battle field. And so often, we are too often, in that part of ourselves. We are human. That is one of the very reasons our world seems so in chaos. How many billions of hearts, with all that’s in them, bouncing off each other in an effort to live. Our physical heart is so full of our minds over ride to keep separating what is one. We must go deeper to the heart of hearts to find the clearing we all seek to see with the one eye that alone allows us the vision of our unity.
This deeper larger space in us has been called so many things, over centuries of time, and by literally thousands of traditions, religions and off-shoots of religions. This actually becomes one of the many reasons we miss it. We stay in our own box and imagine it is the only one that is right.
This journey to our high heart, heart of hearts, deep heart, 10th gate, hridaya, Atman, true self, spiritual heart…you get the idea, is through the five chambers that the journey consist of. So kind and accommodating to us in this space is Spirit seeking to find Itself in us. The journey can not be quick or abrupt as we are in most instances for the first time experiencing the most profound of mysteries…ourselves. Being gentle and patient with ourselves we are led through each process, never really realizing there were steps we climbed. Once there we can recall what is took for us to keep proceeding.
The first chamber is this hearts longing. We are aware deeply of wanting to step into the mystery of self-knowing. We have a longing to belong somewhere that is our true home…and we know it is not here. We have a knowing that there is more. This is called heart awakening…soul awakening. This first chamber is called Heart. It can be disquieting, yet if we move through to the next and the next patiently, we are guaranteed longings reward.
The second chamber is called Spirit. Things quiet down after the excitement of our find. This is our journey into stillness and quiet and deep inner peace. Here the the Light is bright and realized as Divine. Here our light meets the Divine Light. Here the potential for our 2nd birth, our spiritual birth is happening. Separation is losing its hold. Our mind is being re-made…we are unlearning.
Each of the next 3 chambers, Secret, Mystery, and Most Hidden, bring us to the place and palace of the deepest center. Through much dissolving and purification and deep knowing of the undoing of what we imagined could be truth, we move into our very depth. Here, in the innermost Green space we enter into to what is called the Most Hidden. The essence of souls origin, and the chamber of Absolute Truth where we are merged into the great and wondrous Oneness.
The beauty is, who can prove it? Once there,once realized there is no need to boast. We do not become better than anyone. In truth we have found our value in our true self and surrendered it. If we do not try we cannot in truth say it does not exist. We know for ourselves that we are trying to find that deep place in us where we we know there is a safe landing off the tightrope. We actually will jump off into the soft safe space where our peace longs to radiate from. We then are in service to peace, for peace. And we are not robots, being still human and still having that human heart, we will at times feel not rightly equipped.
Peace is a spiritual journey into the depths of ourselves. No one else can bring it to us. There is so much more we can learn about this, should we want to. But it will never be reached by just the learning, by just the words. It is our longing and our desire that allows us to be curious, and then attentive to both hearts.
