Dear Friends and Community,
Hope we are all over the loss of the big game. It was tough for a few days, I will admit. Seems silly, but it is the truth. What play was it, I thought, where just one player, for one moment, thought,”we don’t have this”, and in that moment that thought traveled through the team…it only takes a moment to shift the momentum. You know I don’t really know…just a thought. We were so close.
Mostly what I hope to express in this mail is the power of thoughts and just how powerful they are. We truly are what we think. Our thoughts become our actions. Our life is the outcome of what we think. So it is so very important to have good thoughts to inform our life in all the most important ways. They can for sure make or break us. And so I call this one, “The Light I Live In” because I know for sure how our thoughts can change if we allow change, welcome change, into our very precious life.
I will offer a bit more here on that after the weeks calendar and upcoming events. I did not get all the details of the new events and hope by next week I will have the post created. I do very much love what I do here for and in Heart Space, but I must tell you it is not always seamless. So I thank you for your patience.

The Light That I Live In…
The light that I live in is very bright. But it was not always so. I grew up full of melancholy, a very deep and pensive sadness that I seemed to have brought with me from another lifetime. My childhood was not sad, but I was. I was concerned and cared deeply for things that a young child does not even know. I do not know how common that is, but I think it is more common than we know.
My parents, especially my dad, did their best to answer my question about all the whys of life and religion I had, but they were limited and I loved that they did not sush me away, they would just honestly say, “I do not know”.
I was often admonished, even by strangers to smile, and be happy, as if there was a switch somewhere to turn on. I wrote alot of poetry, and got in bunches of trouble for the questions I asked at school…Catholic school. I knew that someday I would find what I was in search of, even though it was so hard at times to articulate or even know. I stayed the course and never stopped trying. I am so thankful for that.
In the limitation of my own thoughts I could not go far, or ever hope to be happy. Sadness and melancholy prevail in so many of us. And without a fire burning somewhere in us to know, we not only think within our limitation, we live within them too. I never bought in to what felt untrue. Life seemed sad for mostly everyone and happiness seemed just a momentary relief from the next round of sorrow. I realize now how many of us knew this at a young age and that for most it remained and still does with no light of knowing, or the wisdom to transcend the cycles of calm and chaos, peace or panic, life and death, love and fear, light and dark.
The spark or fire in me, too, I realize now and only recently so, came with me into this lifetime. This is my lifetime to know something more. To search out the truth of life, as best I can to the point of transcending the sadness and melancholy and finding real joy. The only fear I have in this life is to not love enough. I am aware of all that can go away, in fact each day we each know it is a waiting game, to lose what we love. But the joy of life and love offers us in every moment we are here, its gifts.
I live in the light of truth. I live in the light of love and of service to others. offering what I have found that is beyond what can be spoken. Life is stunningly beautiful and and altogether horrifying. Both at the same time. Our thoughts will allow us to move into the higher vibration of stunningly beautiful, or down into the depths of altogether horrifying.
