Dear Friends and Community,
Happy Spring! Although still damp and cold, it is Spring! Soon enough I am sure the sun will shine and it will be warm and it will feel good…perhaps even tomorrow. I so hope, as I feel I really need to feel that shift towards warmth.
I have had revealing week. Good moments of wonderful realization, positive thinking, and clarity. It was all so good heading into a 2 day workshop that I so wanted to attend in that heart space. Only one thing changed that allowed me to be less present, or more distracted…are they both the same…I think so. I tried, I struggled, I tried. And I kept thinking, only love will do, all that we do must be saturated with love. And how to allow all to feel it?
Just as I was heading into the workshop I got a text from my daughter Natalie…call me asap…I had missed the call. My heart dropped, I knew there was some bad news.
Called to learn that her husband Charlie,had badly broken his leg and would need surgery.
Love swells and sadness wells. No one wants to suffer through these events. And the more you love the more you realize how each day we must approach them,and life and people with kind and tender compassion. Far too many suffer far worse. So many are in the throes of extreme pain and suffering, in great difficulty, with no repair,no resolution, and functioning with much distraction through all the sacred doings of life, all of their daily ceremonies, like work and caring for family,…all the routine things that become sacred ceremony. Because of love. Because we love. Would we want less?

Only Love Will Do…
We do not want less. We want love. We love love. And we bear the weight of its sorrow and pain, of its caring concern, of its worry. If you say yes to it, you say yes to all of it. We do not want less. And the structure of love is made to support the weight, to withstand the load of life placed upon it.The heart knows that it is a natural phenomenon to love. It is a gift and we are all in some measure holding it. Being aware of its presence in each of us, should allow us to regard each other with the utmost kindness and tender compassion.
We are hopeful that Charlie will have a successful surgery and with time will heal whole. For this family and all families in similar and even worse circumstances we realize that life shifted and the upcoming days will be a bit more difficult, confusing, and concerning. Routines and schedules will be different. Help will be needed. Love will be called upon to bear the weight of this new load of life just placed on it. And love will make its way there. It is part of the network and vibration of healing. It is the light of yes.
It simply is the most important thing we do. We do not want less.
