This will the 7th New Years Eve event in Heart Space. They are all similar with different themes; essentially bringing forward what the previous year has shown us, taught us, given us, that adds to our life’s experience and allows us to discern what is best left behind, and what we most need to keep. Yes, some make resolutions, but this is not about that. This is more about bringing our mindful observances and the work we have done attending to them into a moment and creating ceremony around it. This is observing and attending to one’s own story, one’s own life.
Every year is a milestone. A marker along our emergent path of spiritual growth that is noteworthy. We all give it a bit of attention at the end of a passing year with birthdays and anniversaries, as we enter into what is next. And while the literal new year can be personal, and is, it is also part of a collective story, a marker in time of collective history. A collective look at where humanity is heading. A collective nod, and prayer. A collective hope for best outcomes for mankind, for people of all ages, and of all sorts, from all places, for the Earth, and for all beings that call Earth home. And who we are, and what the year has done for us, and even to us, we bring into the collective turning of a new year. And it matters who we are, and it matters what we bring to the collective, to each other, to the world. It matters.
So, we will step into this new year with awareness, hopeful, for what we each can bring and offer that is so needed.

How the evening will go:
We will each offer our name to the circle and why we chose to attend. We will have a silent moment to offer to ourselves a heart intention for the evening. There will be a cauldron representing the sacred that is warming, stewing, burning in us. I will offer the wisdom of the 3 Cauldrons that is of Irish Celtic/Druid wisdom, myth and magic, yet as well correspond with other Ancient and Indigenous teachings. This will allow us to settle in with the wisdom that will continue to open and warm our hearts.
EmJay, Kelly and I will be acting as Maiden, Mother and Crone and will each offer a poem. Afterwards we will do some card pulling from a few oracle decks in preparation for our Cacao Ceremony. I will offer the meaning and potency of the ceremony as well, and the sacredness associated with the chocolate of ceremonial cacao as a inspiring heart opener. We will then have the ceremony of slowly drinking the cacao, together. We will then go into meditation with your heart’s intentions and the wisdom of the cards you pulled. I will offer the sounds of bells, chimes and bowls. Afterwards, if you like we can share our thoughts, experiences and questions if you have any.
This will conclude our event. There will be light refreshments afterwards for those who would like to linger a bit in cherished community.
I can think of no better way to both end the year and begin a new one.
