Hi Everyone
N.O.A.H.
Nectar Of Awakened Hearts
I will try to find the place of resonance within each of us in explaining how this came to me and how, now, I am wanting to use it.

Noah was the young man that worked with us, that I so loved, that took his life this past December. He was young and gifted, just 19. I have pondered many times the many ways I want to honor his time here on earth, and what may have been his life work, had he stayed.

This acronym came early and I thought I would use it to offer Heart Space for reaching out to other young people who are having difficulty in navigating their life path due to depression or anxiety. To help form a bridge, a safe place for them to be and speak to their life and fears, and the feeling of suicide that they too also may have.

Nothing came around that, but I find lately that something is bubbling up within me, and I feel I am understanding more each day why it had to wait.

Nectar is as sweet as honey. And the closer we get to our true self, the more sweetness and joy we have to offer. Awakened is our awareness of just that. The place within us where we know we hold goodness and compassion and love…. that place that yearns to be known and experienced for the happiness it holds. The place where our song lives. It is not an enlightened heart I am addressing, just the heart that knows itself. That includes everyone…all of us, potentially.

No matter what is seen, or heard, or believed about us, we know that there is nectar within. Sometimes our actions betray that knowing. And usually it is simply because ourselves and or others cannot know all of who we are. Based on what is seen, or heard, or believed, we may seem to be anything but sweet or happy. Sadly, there are those who refuse to get close to their own heart, or its sweetness or its joy. Those that are not awake as yet. I am speaking to those that are and welcoming those who are not.

I have a thought that we should not be missing one another like this. That we should meet and hear each others stories. That we begin to break down the walls that allow us to be separate from one another and instead offer to one another the nectar of our awakened hearts. That we drop the titles that label us, and show up as neighbors and members of our community.

There is no question that we will not agree with one another on all things. Peace does not mean that we all agree with each others thinking. It means we are able to show up to the table, continually with love and respect, to find the place where we connect.

The place where we meet up with our humanity. Where we pollinate love and respect and nurture the seedlings of human compassion, joy and laughter, kindness and mercy. Where we can embrace each others successes and failures on this journey thus far as humans. We will have to do this here in our small communities before we can offer this to our country, or to our world.

This N.O.A.H. may become more, but I just want it to become something first. “Repairing the world”, Tikkum Olam, was at the end of a letter sent to me by Noah’s Mom. It struck me then, as it still does. Detached from religions significance, for me, it simply means to heal the wounds that cause us to contribute to the worlds suffering, and to find the ways we can offer solace and a way through to repair and heal ourselves and one another. I hope to find, together, how we can make each other smile.

So I am offering the space, Heart Space, for us to begin. Every fourth Wednesday, once a month, to begin next week , March 22.
Below you will find the link. All are welcome.

Peace to all,
Tikkum Olam
