It Was Serious Then…

Dear Friends and Community,
I have been a bit tired over the last week. I don’t like the feeling, but sometimes I just have to go with it. I have been able to keep to my reading. I do so to be in the company of long ago friends who I feel are some of my ancestors, among the most healed and full of wisdom, insight, and love. They are lovers to the unknown, the great mysteries, and to the forbidden fruit of truth.

One may call them stoics, or philosophers. And while there is a hint of that, they are more mystics, magicians, sorcerers, and shamans. Basically healers of the soul, for no gain other then for each of us to know ourselves, and in so doing, becoming known, seen, observed, and befriended. Connecting our consciousness to all consciousness, being alive and in harmony with all that is alive. Becoming useful, rather than helpless. Becoming…simply becoming.

This is our truth. This is what has been forgotten, forsaken, denied, what we have been told to drop, and settle instead for separation, and unknowing and the status quo of living in misery and by accident instead of in peaceful harmony and on purpose.I feel the moment has arrived to remember our connected consciousness to stand up for the truths being trampled, lies being told, for all the damage and for all the harm being done in the name of protection, and in this moment our consciousness is finding each other, and all the lovers of love, peace and harmony are communicating through vibration with each other and with all the divine forces that Consciousness emanates and flows from. We are co-creating our next moves together.

That move might look like a many things, but it is essentially love calling for love. Without it we will surely have to reckon with our continued demise. I am one who takes life very seriously.

I will continue briefly down the page, because I have to get back to being tired, which I found out is an advanced UTI. Quite different when you get older. Another story for another time. I have some announcements and then the schedule.

As we await the predicted snow I have made some adjustments to the schedule. I have moved Soul HeART to January 31.There will be no yoga this Sunday, and it seems unlikely that Monday meditation will be a go with the frigid temperatures and all the frozen snow and ice to navigate. This storm seems to have a touch of nasty embedded in it with the possibility of power outages and snapped power lines. Please be careful.

The weeks schedule:

It Was Serious Then…
It was serious 10 years ago. And then it was serious in 2020. And it was even more serious in 2024. But history has taught us that we can be pretty frivolous with serious things. It is part of our nature to make big mistakes with what we should never take for granted. So here we are. Losing a democracy is a terrible thing and we are ever so close, if not already there. Losing our humanity is a whole other thing. And so again, if you are aware, or getting to aware of just how serious a mistake was made, then you are waking up to yourself. And for all the waking up that might be going on, there is little time to lament.

It is not a time to judge one another, it is a time to work together to save what might for surely be lost. It is a time to coalesce around what actually can be done. We can be honest about what we feel in our gut about what we see. Honesty open the door of the heart. We can not be fearful of honesty, remember, it is the truth that will set us free. We have to resist hating others that are different. All and everyone are allowed to exist. Not one of us are perfect. Let’s stop pretending our way is the best way. The way to love is to love, first. We can do so much more if we start there. Respect is love.

When did we decide that trusting in lies was going to be good for us? That is not intelligent thinking. And we have been dumbed down by so many we have trusted, for so long, that we have second guessed our truest instincts, and settled in with trusting liars. We can say no more. Will we?

Is it serious enough to break away now? Is the pain and suffering enough, now. What are we waiting for? For everyone here, myself included, doing something is better than nothing. My granddaughter said it most simply. “I feel I had to do something to support others at this time. It’s not perfect, but I learned that if you’re to worried about being perfect, you don;t get nothing done”. That is intelligent thinking. I have waited too, at times, to be perfect, not even knowing what that even means. My efforts here are hardly perfect, not in the least. But they are full of love.

People might say I am silly to call our imperfect efforts, love reaching for love. And yet it most surely is. Our reaching toward each other may seem impossible, too big a stretch. And for some, this may be true. It is difficult to trust your gut, your opened and vulnerable heart, but when we do, we are in the vibration of consciousness that offers to us the energy and grace to choose love through support, rather than confrontation and conflict. We can choose to do something, even if it to write on a piece of paper for your eyes only to see, I choose love. I choose harmony. I choose peace. I choose to see beauty.I choose unity. And then allow our hearts to open to where we are led.

It will feel scary to love, and to be honest about the condition we find ourselves in. But we will find ourselves in the good company of our better Angels and most healed Ancestors and in the arms and vibration of the very Consciousness that gives us breath, connected to all such beings that want what they want for themselves, to be available to All. Our shared humanity is worth sticking our neck out for. It is why we are here. And it is spoken to us through every phase of the Moon, every Star, through the Light of the Sun, through every Tree and Leaf, every Rock and Crystal, every body of Water, and every beautiful Creature we encounter. These too become our allies and friends. Our co-creating buddies that also know, there are times when time itself calls us to take things a bit more seriously. For those who do, we are never alone.

Be careful and stay safe with this snow storm. Check in on friends and neighbors that might need help. If you are in some need call a friend. Email me if I can be of any help. I will sure try to be.

With love,
peace and blessings,
Denise Yocco
