Dear Friends and Community,
This email has been difficult to settle into. There is so much to say, and nothing to say all at the same. We are all watching and observing something happen that we have never experienced before. And so I turn my attention to the things I love to talk about. The things that expand rather than contract. The very observations and contemplation that make me so aware of what our dense matter keeps us from, and moves us towards.
This week I met the Goddess Anahita. I have a book of goddesses for each day, and she is governs August 15 in Persia…I was running behind in my reading, so there were a few of them, but none stayed with me as much as Anahita. She is a moon goddess, holding love, and honor, fertility, pleasure, health, wisdom and cleansing. Green is her color which represents her life-giving power, as she breathes a flowing force through the cosmos that is pure and innocent.Woodsy fragrances and pine honor her presence. Maybe I took special notice because Anahat is the heart chakra…green is its color and love and honor is its generating flow of Light. There was no image of her, and I didn’t look one up.

Green Is For…
The goddesses are oracles pointing to our innocence, which is the forgotten memory of the more that we are. Our true light and truth being expressed in our forms, that we too often forget is just the mortal part. Moving away from our nature we move away from the very wisdom that provides abundant shelter, victories over life’s greatest worries and concerns, and gratitude for each and every breath. Our innocence is full of of self love and is patient in allowing us to catch up to it.
Our innocence is truth. And we know it. We hear its voice. We can feel it. Trusting it is our issue. Wanting what it points to, what we know is best for us, listening to its voice…yes that is what we often turn away from. Later perhaps. I didn’t realize the impression she made on me until I sat down to paint and she arrived as this image. I realized who she was. She is our innocence, our intuit nature, our divinity and infinity, and she cries waiting for us to remember. Our misery is our forgetfulness. Our love is our power. Our innocence, our joy and pleasure. And truth, our connection and freedom.
I spend my days finding the ways that many others have through long ago times, to get through this very troublesome time in our country that is creating chaos throughout the world. I know you too are finding your own ways through. I would love to hear yours if you would like to share.
