Dear Friends and Community,
I hope you are enjoying this season in good health. I hope it has felt peaceful, joyful and playful. The season for us has been fraught with uncertainty and a real lack of clarity about what Nick, my husband, has been working through since the 5th of the month. He is still not feeling himself. Not worse and in some ways better, and in some not. And it is has been frustrating trying to get in touch with doctors or even to get test results. And so we wait. And I have thought so many times about all those going through similar circumstances, and those living with chronic conditions also trying to get into and through the holidays all at the same time. It has been different,and at times difficult and concerning, yet we are navigating every moment with loving presence and friendship for where we are right now and doing our best to be available for what our hearts want to enjoy in this season.
Also it has not escaped me that as this month winnows down and the new year gets ever closer, I feel this great urgency to be prepared for what is coming with another T. administration. And I am uncertain as to what being prepared looks or feels like. And even in this way, I am waiting. Perhaps it will not be as bad as promised, or it will be just as promised, or even worse. And so we wait.
So as we begin thinking about what the new year will bring, we should also consider what we will bring to it. And, I know I am useful for saying the same thing all the time. And I will not fail you this time again to say that we will have to bring LOVE to this year. And in saying that I am saying not to bring fear. We will have to be courageous and brave with our LOVE and allow it to be a creative force in us not only for our own well-being, but for that of others.

Father Sun/Mother Moon…
And in saying LOVE, I will add a twist that perhaps allows us the entry into loves depth…I will add Friendship.
I felt drawn to allow these both to arise in us as we enter into this new year, so we could realize their potency and work in us. Love and Friendship, Sun and Moon, Father, Mother. The representation of the divine bright light and fire within us…the divine masculine, and the represented silvery cool light, the waters of wisdom and emotion in us…the divine feminine. To know them as co-creative partners and collaborators of the divine order within us, that can and do inform our life and actions. We cannot have one without the other…one is not better than the other or stronger …they are complimentary components that draw breath, and give life to our will and wishes in harmony with each other. They together, give voice and actions beyond what we can even imagine being part of us.
Not opposed to each or opposites, they are one coin with two sides. As the sky shares the abundance of its fiery sunlight, it also offers the cool and tempered reflection in the moonlight. And so in us are the two…a merger and emergence of divine compatibility that manifests as LOVE that Lets Our Vision Evolve towards friendship, kinship, with the sacred in all of life, in us, in me, in you. Compassionate and knowing it follows truth and wants for all what it wants for oneself.
This is our very depth…it is our ocean and our fire. In it there is memory and remembrance for the divine that we are. Memory and remembrance that becomes useful in a world, among us all, that has forgotten what it is made of, and the presence that surrounds it.
And we remember from our heart. We cannot conceive of LOVE and Friendship, with peace and justice in our mind and from our thoughts where only separation exist. Only in our hearts do we share the space of divine LOVE and Friendship…the united space where each can realize who we are and what we have the ability to offer. And we just don’t live from that space enough to know how much we can trust it to show us the way to bring fire and water together in a way that can know and honor both, neither diminished by the work of the other.
Without taking some time to contemplate,and meditate on these things, we think, and think and think. And we do not think there is a way out of the chaos of separation. If we all just stay in our mind and think, we have 8.2 billion minds not knowing how to be true friends with each other. Friendship is our love for humanity evolved towards respect for all. Within each of us, a fragment of the divine exist and allows us to see as if there were just one of us. “Only that in you that is in me can here what I am saying”. (Ram Dass from Neem Karoli Baba)
Emergence from our deep sleep is possible. We wake up to alarms every day. Is there enough happening in our lives, in our world, in our country, that is setting off an alarm to awaken us from our slumber? We were always here to remember. It is the greatest and most difficult work we each can offer to ourselves and to each other. In it is our Love and Friendship with the divine and with each other. It is our Namaste, our Amen, and our Aho…our prayers heard for what we can create in our own life and co-create together. Here we are not alone, one among 8.2 billion, we are one.
There is memory in the fire of us, in the water of us, in the air and in the Earth that we are. We need not look any further than ourselves to remember the unity and oneness within. Our true superpowers will always be Love and Friendship with all that has been given to us to learn from to understand and realize. This will only be understood from the place of our deep heart…our depth of being.
For sure, I do not know what the new year holds for us in terms of what is going to happen with the incoming administration. I know what it did to me the last go around, and I have worked hard to be better equipped this time around. Heart Space, hopefully will remain a space for the exploration of our true deep heart and the realization of ones own gifts to remember and co-create with.
Wishing us to emerge into a new year ever mindful of our divine calling to offer love and friendship to each other.
I dedicate this email to the memory of Noah Arnold, a very dear being, I knew and loved, however, far too briefly, but long enough to never forget his presence here on this plane, and in my life forever.
What we remember lives…however hard or difficult it may be to keep close what is not visibly present. When we never forget, we will forever grieve. Our sorrow is useful as much as our realization of joy. I am thankful to Noah for what I have learned from both the joy and sorrow of knowing and loving him.
