Woman’s Grief Circle
Offered and led by Denise Yocco

This is the first in a series of woman’s circles. I have had many people asking about a grief circle. I have tried to have one each month feeling how needed it is. I guess it was missed. That is ok. Perhaps I did not use the correct words to entice you. What can you say about it? It is the realest of all connections we can make, to share our sacred sorrow. It is communion more than conversation, or connection. Nothing we can fix, but something we can grow with in grace and love. Just talking and hearing your own voice is of such great value.
This circle will include any loss that you feel. Loss has been a big part of our life the last few years. Some need to talk. So, let’s get together and be real and honest with each other. It hurts. How can we make it hurt less? Life keeps moving on despite all its sorrow and tragedies. How can we? What does life know that we don’t? We can find out together. Sometimes just saying it out loud is enough.
Our circle will begin with a short heart opening meditation. I suggest you bring a notepad and pen. You can bring some words to share, a poem, any bit of creation that has come from your sorrow.
Have a mask handy. We want all who attend to feel safe. Please preregister as I will limit the class to 8, so everyone has an opportunity to speak. Sometimes we go under the time and sometimes over. Depends on how much fun we are having. Yes, I said fun. Also, we will have tea.
Cutoff date to preregister is 3/27 by 6PM.
Other circles will include various helpful to women topics, such as body image, food disorders, and relationships. They will not all be on Sundays, so be sure to look at the dates.
