Heart Space at Seven Stones
Offered by Denise Yocco
So as we begin to settle into the reality of a new year, it becomes a perfect time to give yourself the ultimate in self love; being still and stopping the routines to have some time with yourself. If you have wanted to begin a meditation practice this is a good way to get familiar with being still, with sitting, with stopping. Why is this effort important? What do we wish to attain, change, manifest in our life through meditation.
Sometimes we are hearing how good it is and we want to try it. In a very brief way I will address the questions above and any you may have. What I wrote below is all true, but these preliminary questions , once answered, can be a factor in how we integrate meditation into our life.
When we allow this space for ourselves there are many great benefits to us in the moment. As we continue to grow our practice, it becomes evident that it is not only the stopping, or the sitting, or the quiet, that allows us some degree of relaxation, but it occurs to us at some point, that we feel different. We might not seem so fearful, or stressed, or anxious, the way we once did. We may notice that we are more connected to the things we are doing and the people we are with. We may feel more gratitude and appreciation. We may begin to feel that this is not the only world we live in but that there is a place deep within we can turn to for endless amounts of intuitive wisdom and love. And that begins to illuminate the world we live, and love and work in. We begin to feel that this is the trip, or journey that should be at the top of everyone’s bucket list. Yes it could be that good!
This is a practice for everyone. If you are new to meditation or if you have a practice. I keep it simple and interesting for all levels.
Our process will be very simple; 1) To deep listen. 2) To be still. 3) To share your experience if you so wish.
I so hope to sit with you.
