Sacred Word and Mantra Meditation
Book Study/ The Bhagavad Gita
Offered by Denise Yocco
We are currently, in this class, reading The Bhagavad Gita. I imagine it will take us to the end of the year to finish. Coming into the new year we will for a time be doing our regular mantra class.
This is a meditation class for those who enjoy mantra practice, or for those wishing to know more. For this class the mantra is offered in depth. Each word, how it is said, what it means, revealed. Mantra is a way of deepening your meditation into a dedicated practice. The practice of mantra can be helpful for one who is concerned with intrusive thoughts, allowing the mantra to fill that space. There will be reflection and opportunity to share your thoughts and experience. All of this is to deepen your appreciation for your practice and the work that is accomplished through your practice.
I enjoy deeply what I have learned, and I feel I am being guided to share it. To share the wisdom and to share the love. That is it. In a world where it is so difficult at times to see the beauty of life and even of ourselves, and especially of each other, it is good to have the clouds lifted that allow the light within to shine…to shine bright. I hope you will give this class a try.
What to bring:
. Notebook and pen
. Mala beads, if you have them. There are some to borrow if you do not have them.
It is requested that all attending wear a mask. I would still also prefer that you preregister or let me know you plan to attend.
