Mindful Connection

Our thoughts can sometimes prevent us from fully experiencing the moment. Let’s bring awareness to those thoughts and sensations as we flow through asana. Are we comparing ourselves to our neighbor? Are we feeling like we need to go deeper or further? Frustrated when you can’t? This yoga class will be our laboratory as observe the effect of our thoughts on our practice. Applying mindfulness to our practice allows us to acknowledge and let go of what confines us. Don’t worry- we will build up a little sweat to help with that release.
After completing her education to become a nurse practitioner, Jenny obtained her yoga teacher certification in 2016 through Yoga Medicine under the guidance of internationally renowned yoga teacher, Tiffany Cruikshank. It is with this insatiable thirst for knowledge that lead her to a deeper exploration of her own yoga practice. Jenny brings the benefits of yoga- strength, flexibility, and ease of mind- to her patients and out into her community. Jenny’s background in medicine coupled with her passion for holistic well-being provides classes that bring connection of body and mind through thoughtful movement and breath with special attention to anatomy and alignment. She embraces the path of each individual and guides her students through physical asana, pranayama, and meditation for their own self exploration. The yoga mat is a sacred space to work it out and let it go with the goal to leave class lighter, if not a little sore, so that we can all be the best versions of ourselves off the mat.
