“(Mantra) works with the transformation, restoration, and reconstitution of the energies of the soul” —Russel Paul in the Yoga of Sound
“To chant a mantra at a yogic level is to think with the entire universe.”
— Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri)
Energize your Spring with the devotional path of yoga! Experience the energies of mantra & explore your true nature through some simple yet powerful chanting practices. Together, we will join in voice & intention, connecting and flowing with the healing, energetic waves of mantra in a joyful practice.
Mantra is one of the most powerful and accessible forms of yoga, as it is doesn’t involve difficult poses and is not dependent on vocal ability, only intention and vibration. When we engage in chanting sincerely, it brings countless benefits to ourselves, and the contribution we bring in the world.
Chanting creates greater connection with your soul, dissolves conditioned patterning, opens hearts and minds to greater receptivity, and inspires energy and positive flow in all of life’s aspects.
No experience or musical ability is necessary! Whether you already love chanting or want to learn about it, we welcome you to join us in this heart-opening afternoon! Hari Bol!
Please Preregister.
Bio:
Julie Fischer, RYT 500, LMT
Julie is a yoga teacher and massage therapist with a passion for devotional yoga. She can personally attest that yoga, especially chanting mantra, is a powerful, life changing practice. Over time, she has witnessed the dissolution of the long time fear in using her own voice, among many other things. Working with mantra and the harmonium has inspired her to no end, and she enthusiastically studies with Yvette OM as she continues to be nurtured and grow along the Bhakti path.
Julie offers a unique, simple style and joyful presence. She loves to share the mantras that reside within her being with others. Julie is frequently found chanting in her New Jersey studio, and loves to introduce it to anyone who is interested. Julie feels indescribably blessed to have met Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) in this lifetime, and considers Amma as her main and continuous teacher.
Julie is astounded by the profound offerings of yogic philosophy and it’s many practices. Practicing yoga, massage & chanting is a passion and an honor that gives Julie great joy and growth on every level of her being.
